feature request: separate settings to enable/disable AI bot in DM/channels/topics discussion
problem:currently, for a persona, it has settings for "allow chat", "allow mentions".if allow mentions, could chat with AI bot in channel, and in topic discussion.it is not possible to allow AI bot talks in channels, but not in topic discussion...
- allowing AI bot in topic discussion, it is useful, but the topics could be easily flooded with these AI-generated content.
- once AI persona is mentioned in a topic discussion, any new comment triggers the AI bot to reply... sometimes, it just gets the discussion keep going with joking/irrelevant content..
this is good and bad, good for more interactions, bad for too much AI-generated content.
proposed solution
- separate settings to enable AI bot chat in DM/channels/topics, for our case, like to have AI bot chats only in channels, that is fun and helpful. the content is cleared out in days...
- "add quotas so you can throttle it even further" (@sam mentioned this in chat, he might already have some thought on this...)
- in topic discussion, AI bot should only responses when mentioned, should not keep replying to any comment.
hope this could be considered soon, we 'd like to enable AI bot chat, but too much AI-generate content in topic discussion looks no good... thanks...
