Hello
Currently, when the "Watched Words" feature is used to automatically link specific keywords, the resulting link looks identical to a link manually inserted by the user.
The problemThis lack of distinction can lead to confusion. Other users might assume the author of the post intentionally added the link to promote a site or provide a reference, when in fact, it was a system-level automation. In some cases, this can affect the perceived neutrality or intent of the poster.
Proposed SolutionI suggest adding a small, subtle icon next to links that were generated via the Watched Words system.
- Tooltip: Hovering over the icon could display a message like: "This link was automatically generated by the system."
- Styling: A slight CSS difference or a specific class for these auto-links would allow admins to style them differently (e.g., a different underline or color).
Benefits
- Transparency: Users will know exactly which content was authored by the user and what was added by the system.
- Trust: It prevents authors from being wrongly accused of "spamming" or "hidden marketing" if a keyword they used was automatically linked to a commercial site by the forum's settings.
Thanks
